William "Bill" Buker, 82, of Milton VT passed away on Saturday April 13, 2024. He was surrounded by family as he peacefully journeyed to his eternal rest.
Bill was born on May 13,1941 in Burlington, VT to Phyllis (Brown) and Andrew Buker of Stowe, VT.
He attended Peoples Academy graduating in 1959. Where he then enlisted in the Navy and served his country proudly from 59-63 in which he was in the Cuban Blockade.
Bill's commitment to serving his country extended beyond his professional life as he selflessly served in the US Navy. His service was a testament to his patriotism and willingness to sacrifice for the greater good.
Bill married his sweetheart, Pauline Fleurrey September 25,1965 where he then became the loving father to Mike, Marc, and Melissa. And later in life to his faithful dog Bebe.
Bill was a dedicated manufacturing manager for IBM for 32 years. Upon retiring he went on to serve the community by working for SSTA for 18 years.
Bill enjoyed and cherished time spent with his beloved family, extended family and many, many friends. His favorite past time was spent watching Baseball, Football, and Basketball.
Bill is survived by his wife Paula, dog Bebe, his son Mike Buker, and wife Amy Martin-Buker of Colchester, son Marc Buker and his wife Jackie Buker of Fairfax, Grandchildren Dylan Robar and Zoe Buker, Great Grandchildren Eric LaFountain and Gracie Robar. Brother Ted Buker, and sister's Janet Lanphear and Joan Strong.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Phyllis Buker and beloved daughter Melissa Robar.
Bill was a devoted husband, friend, and very loving father and grandfather. He was a proud veteran and dedicated employee. He led a fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.
Bill will be deeply missed by surviving family, extended family and many, many friends.
Bill's kind spirit, unwavering dedication to family, friends and country leaves an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished by many and that his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
A visitation event in honor of Bill's life will be held on Saturday April 27,2024 starting at 1:00pm with a prayer service with Father Feltz at the Minor Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 237 Rt 7 South Milton, VT. The opportunity to pay respects and celebrate the legacy of this remarkable man will take place until 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or charity of your choice in Bill's loving memory.
