Burlington - Ward F. Latterell, Jr., a devoted family man and dedicated maintenance worker, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, at the age of 61. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Born in Glenns Falls, New York on September 15, 1961, Ward was the beloved son of Ward F. Latterell, Sr. and Carol Barber. From an early age, Ward showed remarkable determination and a passion for embracing life's challenges. With a kind heart and a resilient spirit, he would go on to touch the lives of countless individuals around him.

Ward's commitment to service extended beyond his family and into the United States Army, where he proudly served. His time in the military solidified his unwavering sense of duty and instilled in him invaluable qualities that would shape his character for years to come.

After completing his military service, Ward pursued his career as a maintenance worker. Known for his incredible work ethic and attention to detail, he became an indispensable asset to his colleagues and peers. Whether it was fixing broken equipment or ensuring that everything was running smoothly, Ward approached every task with diligence and a genuine desire to help others.

While he excelled professionally, it was within the realm of family that Ward's true joy resided. He was a loving father to his children Katie Latterell  and her life partner Steve Corron,and Kyle Latterell and his wife Jamie. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with them and witnessing their growth. He enjoyed the thrill of the hunt for the ever elusive deer, and playing horseshoes. Ward also loved country music.

As a doting grandfather to Jordon Corron, Alyssa Corron, Shelby Companion, and Blake Companion, Ward's love knew no bounds. From teaching them life lessons to cheering them on in their endeavors, he was a constant source of support and inspiration. His grandchildren will forever cherish the memories of his warm embrace and gentle words of wisdom.

In addition to his immediate family, Ward leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose lives were enriched by his presence. His compassionate nature and infectious smile made him adored by many. Each interaction with Ward left an indelible mark, reminding us all of the immeasurable impact one person can have on the world.

A graveside service to honor Ward's life will be held privately and by invitation at Resurrection Park Cemetery, located at Hinesburg Rd, South Burlington, Vermont, 05403. The event will be a testament to both his remarkable journey and the unwavering love that surrounded him.
