Theresa Mae Blow Tebeau Steady

Theresa went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on February 5^th, 2024. She was born on March 16^th, 1928, to Roger and Albina Bushway Blow.

Theresa attended schools in Grand Isle and Milton. She taught for one year in a one room schoolhouse where she had 15 pupils. Ten of those pupils were related to her and three were her brothers and sister.

In November 1946 she married John Tebeau, where they ran a dairy farm in Grand Isle for many years. After John passed away, she married Bernard Steady. He told her he had a lot, she thought it was money, but found out he had seven children.

Throughout her life she worked and volunteered for numerous businesses and organizations. She ran a donut shop where her famous “Ma Blow’s Donuts” were made and later made them for many nonprofits and church.

She leaves behind her daughters; Susan Lawrence, and Betty (Daniel) Hurlbut. Children; Jane (Jose) Gonzalez, Brad (Brenda) Steady, Kevin and David Steady (Mike), Sarah McDonald and Shawn (Melissa) Steady. Grandchildren; John Paul, Wade Lawrence, Nate and Drew Steady, Ashley Gallup, and Jack Steady. 4 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, Lillie Mae Lawrence. Siblings; Henry Blow and  Thelma Farewell.

She was predeceased by her first husband, John Tebeau. Second husband, Bernard Steady. Sister, Frances Parrott. Brothers; Raymond and Sherman Blow.

There will be a funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose of Lima Church on February 9^th, 2024, at 10:00am. Followed by a small reception held in the church basement following the funeral.
