Roland E. Berard, Jr. was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend , known for his dedication to his work and his passion for helping others. He spent many years employed at UVMC Provider Access Service, touching the lives of many with his kindness and compassion.
Born on January 15, 1960, in South Windsor, Connecticut, Roland had a vibrant personality that endeared him to all who knew him. He was a talker who always found joy in lending a helping hand to those in need. Roland's love for his family was evident to all who crossed his path; he cherished his wife Frances Berard, and his five children, Holly Berard and her husband Phillip, Sharon Baker and her husband Jesse, Maria Davison and her husband Steve, John Notaro and his partner Emily, and Anthony Notaro and his partner Collette, three grandchildren Nora, Dustin and Quinn and his extended family in Massachusetts and New York. He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Roland E. Berard, Sr.
Roland had a special affinity for music, with a fondness for every genre except country. He found solace and joy in the melodies that accompanied him throughout his life, especially KISS. Additionally, he was a dedicated New England Sports fan, enthusiastically supporting each team and reveling in their victories and wallowing in their losses. He was graduate of Mount Mansfield High School and was an Eagle Scout.
On June 16, 2024, Roland E. Berard, Jr. passed away at the University of Vermont Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of love and generosity that will be remembered by all who knew him. His departure has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of his family and friends.
To honor the life of Roland E. Berard, Jr., a visitation will be held on June 21st, 2024 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. A burial service will be held June 22nd, 2024 at Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington starting at 10:00 AM.
In this time of mourning and remembrance, may we find comfort in the memories we shared with Roland and the impact he made on our lives. His spirit will forever live on in our hearts as we carry forward the lessons he imparted through his kindness and love. A special thank you to Milton Rescue.
