Saint Albans, VT--Robert Roy Lamphere Sr., 89, of Milton, passed away September 18, 2021 at St. Albans Health and Rehab. Robert was born on February 1, 1932 in Milton, VT the son of Clayton Lamphere and Edith (Wood). He married Clarice Bascomb on January 13, 1950 at Milton. Robert was a Machine Operator at Champlain Cable for 35 years. Lots could be said about Mr. Lamphere, but none of them were bad. He was an outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and trapping for many many years, a collector of bottles, favoring the antique glass bottles. Occasionally finding some at the flea markets. Throughout his life, he remembered everything, always finding the good in people and that's probably why he was always in a good mood. Even in his later years of life, he was still the comedian, the nurses at the nursing home loved him. He is survived by: his children, Linda (David) Lapierre of Fairfax, Robert Lamphere, Jr. and (Pamela Tourville)of Milton, Alvin (Cindy) Lamphere of St Albans, Fern Lamphere and (David Meunier) of Milton; his 8 grandchildren, his 6 great-grandchildren, his great great grandchild, his sisters Marguerite Laframboise of Fairfax, Pauline Bascomb of Milton and Luella Aube of Milton. He is predeceased by his wife, Clarice Lamphere; father, Clayton Lamphere; mother, Edith Lamphere; daughter, Rose Lamphere; brother, Clarence Lamphere; sister, Georgette Hutchins; sister, Virginia Arnold; sister, Ramona Yergeau Visiting hours will be held on Friday, 24th of September, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton, Vermont. Funeral Service will be held on September 24, 2021, 12:00 PM in Minor Funeral Home . Burial to follow in Hope Cemetery, Georgia. Masks will be required regardless of vaccination status.
