On Saturday March 23, Richard F. Rose, Salmon King aged 52, departed from this world unexpectedly and far too soon. Left behind to cherish his memory are his devoted parents, Richard and Patricia Rose; the love of his life, Renee Sheltra; his son Cagney Hamblett and daughter-in-law Melissa Hamblett; his daughter Courtney Hood; and his four beloved grandchildren: Parker, Keaton, Henley, and Preslie. Richie also leaves behind his loyal companions Willoughby, a faithful chocolate lab, and P2B, the bird he never imagined sharing a bond with. He is further survived by numerous caring aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were considered family by him. Family always remained his top priority closely followed by friends whom he cherished deeply.
The depth of Richard's affection for others was immeasurable - a sentiment that cannot possibly be captured in words. Widely regarded as an exceptional individual, to know Richie was to hold him dear in one's heart. His capacity to love surpassed conventional limits; he possessed unwavering determination when faced with challenges, was an exceptionally hard worker, a work ethic he always attributed to his father, and had an unrivaled sense of humor. His quick-witted one-liners never failed to bring smiles to those around him. A dedicated angler, Richard spent as much time with a fishing rod in hand as he did honing his plumbing skills, and truly was the Salmon King.
Richard found utmost joy in the company of his four grandchildren. His affection for them transcended all bounds of understanding - whether on fishing escapades or cozy movie nights, he delighted in spoiling them at every opportunity. His hobbies were not mere pastimes but integral facets of his being. From his burgeoning racing endeavors to numerous triumphs in fishing derbies, Richard consistently made time for the fortunate individuals he held close to his heart.
In celebrating the life of Richard F. Rose, we honor a remarkable man whose legacy of love and laughter will endure beyond the passage of years. May his indomitable spirit continue to guide and inspire those who were privileged enough to have known him intimately. He was the greatest father, son, and friend.
