A lifelong resident of the Champlain islands, Rick was a hard working simple man and he lived
his life on his terms and enjoyed every moment of it. His career included working for a local
restoration company and paving company. His passion for camping, fishing, NASCAR and
spending time at the lake was his life. He retired earlier in the year and realized his ultimate
dream of owning a travel camper.
He had a heart of gold and would do anything for people in need. He was a dedicated brother and friend.
His greatest companion was his dog Cleatus who predeceased him.
He is survived by his siblings: Andy McMillan of Alburgh, Roxanne McMillan of Alburgh, Bronson
( Angela ) McMillan of Tennessee, Nephews: Kyle ( Vanessa Cappon ) McMillan of Morrisonville
NY, Connor McMillan of Alburgh, Stuart ( Brittany Brown ) Cleland of St.Albans, Michael (
Ashley ) McMillan of Oklahoma, Trevor McMillan of Tennessee. Nieces: Jenna ( Josh Metcalfe )
McMillan of Alburgh, Kayla ( Joe Fournier ) Patnode of Alburgh, Meaghan ( Audrey ) Currier of
St.Albans,Brianna McMillan of Tennessee. Special friends Kenny and Gail Brown of Alburgh,
Mark and Cheryl from Grand Isle, and Geoff Gadbois of Milton.
He is predeceased by his parents, Wendell and Marjorie McMillan.
Arrangements are in the care of the Minor Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Milton. Private services will be held by the family at a later date
