South Burlington - Raymond U. Abair, died suddenly Sunday December 11, 2016 at the age of 95.
Born in Winooski on September 7, 1921, Raymond was the son of Leo and Louise ( Chambers ) Abair.

He spent most of his career installing flooring and was later employed for many years, by the South Burlington School Dept.

In 1944, Raymond married Jean Hovey, who survives him, along with his son Gary Abair and companion Rachel Wright, his daughter Judy Poor and his son Steven Abair and his wife Susan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, whom he enjoyed spending time with. He also enjoyed spending time with, and keeping up with, his many nieces and nephews activities.

Raymond was a great family man and multi-sport fan for all of his life and could tell many stories of his childhood and working days.

There will be no visiting hours or funeral service. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery in the spring at the convenience of the family.
