Randy Alan Wood

Rouses Point NY- Randy Alan Wood passed away on December 13, 2022, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, from congestive heart failure. Randy was born in Burlington, VT, on March 2, 1959, to Rudolph and Lena (Bigue) Wood. Randy attended schools in Charlotte and Milton, VT. Then joined the Army National Guard in 1977. In 1986 Randy met the love of his life, Penny and on September 25, 1996, they were married and spent 36 years wonderful years together. He worked many jobs in his life but worked at Farrell Distributing for over 30 years before retiring. Randy liked going to car shows and cruising with his Dodge Challenger and Dodge truck with his special friend Billy Duffy. He also had a love for fishing. Randy is survived by his wife Penny; two daughters, Abbey Weston and her husband Tim of South Carolina, Ashley Wood and her significant other Chris Todd of Rouses Point, NY; two grandchildren, Lawrence Weston and Myra Wood; sisters, Linda and Clarence Lamphere of Georgia, VT, Mary Lafromboise of Milton, VT, Rose Marie and Robert Benson of Milton, VT; and brother Robin and Bonnie Wood of Georgia, VT; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many cousins; a very special friend Billy Duffy; special cousins, Tim Hayes and Ricky Wood; and his special English mastiff dog Lucy. He is predeceased by his father and mother Rudolph and Lena Wood; a brother Rodney Wood; a sister Patricia Hart; and his beloved yellow lab Woody. A visitation with a service to follow will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 4-6 PM with a prayer service starting immediately after at 6pm at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton, VT. A committal service will be held later in the spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association of either Vermont or New York in the name of Randy Wood.
