On March 18 2024, we bid a heartfelt farewell to a remarkable man, Patrick James Alger. Born on June 4, 1960, in Burlington, VT, Patrick journeyed through life with a spirit as enduring as the Green Mountains he called home.
Patrick's path was marked by honor and service, having proudly served in the United States Air Force and Army National Guard. A graduate of Milton High School, he embarked on a diverse career that reflected his hardworking nature - from Lane Press to Walmart, Home Depot to Lowes. His dedication and commitment left an indelible mark on each endeavor.
In matters of the heart, Patrick found his lifelong companion in Judy Lestage. Their union was a testament to love's enduring power and strength through the years. He is also survived by his children Christopher, Mathew, Ryan and his wife Kelsi, and Ashley, his 3 grandchildren Keenan, Hayley, and Nayeli; his mother Gladys and sister Becky.
He was predeceased by his father Raymond Alger.
Away from work, Patrick embraced life's simple joys. He found solace by the water's edge while fishing and cherished moments spent with family. Car rides through scenic routes brought him joy, and the beauty of nature never failed to captivate him during bird and deer watching excursions. Whether indulging in a card game or trying his luck at the casino, Patrick lived life with zest and enthusiasm.
On behalf of the family, we would like to thank the staff of UVM Medical Center for their wonderful care. Your care for him and guidance of his gift of life as an organ donor will forever be appreciated.
Visitation will be held in the Minor Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Milton on Wednesday, March 27th between the hours of 4PM and 6PM, with a service beginning at 6PM.
As we mourn the loss of Patrick James Alger, let us also celebrate a life well lived, defined by love, laughter, and cherished memories that will linger in our hearts. May his spirit soar free like an eagle over the mountains he held dear.
