Nancy Mae Carleton

Burlington, VT--Nancy Mae Carleton, 86, of Milton, VT passed away June 2, 2022 at University of Vermont Medical Center. Nancy was born on August 3rd, 1936 in Vergennes, VT as the daughter of Hermon Benoit and Ruth (Sears) Benoit. She married the love of her life, Carl Carleton, and they were happily married for 57 years until he left this Earth in 2016. Nancy was a housemaker by trade, she had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was known to spend her time doing puzzles, going shopping and yard sale hunting for a good bargain. She is survived by: her children; Cynthia (David) Carleton Demore of Isle La Motte and Scott (Becky) Carleton of Milton. Siblings; John Benoit of Colchester, Charles Benoit Sr., of Milton, Trudy Overland of Texas, Richard Benoit of Florida, and Mary Root of Florida. Grandchildren; Heather Casey, Jennifer Unangst, Justin Lamarche, Jana Lamarche and Jamie Carleton. And her 9 Great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband and her siblings; Tulip Quigley, Max Quigley, Pinky Davis, Pat Gillingham, William Benoit, David Benoit, and George Quigley. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 14th, 2022 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
