Obituary of Nancy Ruth Allen
So. Hero - Nancy Ruth Allen, 70, died peacefully early Saturday morning June 4, 2016 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston.
Nancy was born in Oakhurst, New Jersey on August 16, 1945 the daughter Robert and Elizabeth ( Demaree ) Webb.
As a child she visited Vermont with her family in So. Hero for many years.
She graduated from the Monmouth Medical Center School of Nursing in 1968.
On April 19, 1969, she married Malcolm Allen in South Hero. Nancy had worked at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington, as an RN, before running the office of their family business, Allen's Garage.
Nancy loved gardening and working in her flower beds. She also enjoyed staying at Bed and Breakfasts and spending time on their boat.
In addition to her husband Malcolm, Nancy is survived by her daughter Bonnie Allen and her grandchildren Sean and Spencer Herrin, all of Baltimore, Maryland.
She was predeceased by her brother Richard Webb.
