Milton,
Mildred Daisy Pidgeon, 88 of Milton, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Birchwood Terrace Rehabilitation Center in Burlington.
Millie was born October 9, 1928 in Hartford, Connecticut the daughter of the late Homer Appleton and Irene Mae Lovely Barrows. She was married to Harold Pidgeon who predeceased her on August 18, 2008.
Millie was a strong member of both the VFW, the American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and AA.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Trombley Wolfe and her husband, Philip of Boynton Beach, FL. Her stepsons, Glenn Pidgeon and his wife Susan of Holly Springs, NC and Wayne Pidgeon and his wife, Lucy of South Hero, VT. Her two brothers, Robert Barrows and his wife, Sandra Benoit of Winooski and Stan Barrows of Milton. Two sisters, Gladys Laura of Colchester and Beverly Guest and her husband, Dick of SC. Her grandchildren, Randall Trombley of NYC, Shari Trombley of Burlington, Jeffrey Pidgeon of Durham, NC and Kim Pidgeon of Morrisville, NC. She also leaves her eight great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Harold, she was predeceased by her brother in law, Jack Laura.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2 pm in St. Ann's Cemetery, Middle Road in Milton.
