Georgia

Liza Marie Simpson, was born on July 4, 1980, in Morrisville, Vermont. She was loved by many and known for her vibrant spirit. With a heart full of love and a personality that radiated warmth, Liza left this world unexpectedly on September 10, 2024, in St. Albans, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and joy that will be cherished for years to come.

Throughout her life, Liza had a dedicated work ethic, working at Wake Robin, Hinesburg Schools, and UVM. Her commitment to helping others was unwavering in every role she fulfilled, and her fun-loving nature made her an incredible colleague.

Liza's greatest pride and joy was her son, Zayden. She was a fierce advocate for those she loved, especially her son. Their bond was a testament to the love and support she poured into her family and friends. Liza was a devoted daughter to her parents, Linda and Rodney Simpson, Sr., and a caring sister to her siblings: Rodney Simpson, Jr. and his fiancé Victoria, Melissa Jones and her wife Alison, Wendy Lewis and her husband Malcolm, and Robert Simpson. Her hearty laughter and big personality illuminated gatherings, creating memories that her family will hold close to their hearts.

In addition to her supportive family Liza was a proud aunt to and is survived by Rodney H. Simpson and his wife Brianna, Zaccaryah Simpson and his fiancée Kelly, Alexis Simpson, Avery Simpson, Rory Jones, Sydney Jones, Dina Mustafic, Edin Mustafic, Aysha Russell, Ethan Garrison, Calleigh Garrison, and Acadia Simpson. She cherished each moment spent with her nieces and nephews and embraced her role as a loving aunt. Liza was looking forward to becoming a great aunt for the 3rd time as she loved spending time with her two great-nieces, Paisley Simpson and Layla McHugh.

Outside of her family life, Liza found great amusement in many pursuits. Her passion for camping and dancing brought her loads of happiness, she could really cut a rug on the dance floor. She also enjoyed bingo, karaoke and being a DJ. She had a deep love for her dogs, Addie and Jayden and enjoyed being around horses.

Liza will be remembered as a strong, kind and compassionate person who helped everyone around her, genuinely touching lives and spreading love wherever she went. Her vivacious spirit and loving nature will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
