Milton

Jacqueline Delia Brown, a beloved member of the Milton community, passed away peacefully at her residence on February 18, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on March 29, 1941, in Burlington, VT to Joseph and Lena (Bedard) Reska. Jacqueline lived a remarkable life, dedicated to her work and the joy of those around her.

For over 25 years, Jacqueline worked diligently on the bindery production with Lane Press, exemplifying a work ethic that inspired many of her colleagues. Her career was more than just a job; it was a testament to her commitment and resilience, attributes she carried into every aspect of her life. Jacqueline’s professional journey was woven with threads of dedication and passion, but her achievements extend far beyond her work.

Alongside her late husband, Frederick Brown, Jr., Jacqueline built a loving home in Milton, where countless cherished memories were formed. She fondly remembered the simple pleasures spent together while her husband enjoyed hunting, moments filled with laughter and love. Jacqueline's kind spirit and selflessness shone brightly; she always prioritized the happiness of others above her own. She was known as the kindest lady, embodying the values of compassion and generosity that endeared her to all who crossed her path.

Jacqueline delighted in the simple joys of life. Her hands often tended to her vibrant garden, where she found solace among the blooms. Baking was another passion; she had a special talent for crafting delectable fruit pies that brought smiles to her friends and family. Additionally, she had an adventurous side, collecting spoons from every state she visited, showcasing her love for travel, and her vast collection of rocking horses bore witness to her whimsical spirit.

After the passing of her husband, Jacqueline was fortunate to be surrounded by a nurturing group of neighbors who became an extended family, significantly improving her life during a challenging time. Their support allowed her to continue living life to the fullest while remaining the joyful and resilient person that everyone adored.

Jacqueline is survived by her loving niece Penny Gallagher (honorary daughter), and great nieces Chelsea,  and Mykayla, Ray Myers (honorary son) and his wife Nancy along with her dear sister Shirley Duval and many other nieces and nephews. The void left in their hearts and the hearts of many will be immeasurable.

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Frederick Brown, Jr., her parents Joseph Reska and Lena Bedard and her other siblings, who will welcome her with open arms.

As we remember Jacqueline Delia Brown, let us celebrate her remarkable legacy of kindness, resilience, and love. Her simple yet profound impact on the lives around her will forever be cherished and carried on by those she leaves behind.

A burial will take place in Milton Village Cemetery in the spring, with her late husband.
