Obituary of Idell R. Snodell
Idell R. Snodell, 91, of Milton, passed away peacefully on Thursday night August 18th, 2016 at the Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester.
Idell was born September 4th, 1924 in Farmington, MO.
For many years Idell lived with her son and daughter-in-law Howard and Jean Smith of Milton and later on went to live with Bruce and Kim Giguere of Milton. She lived with them for 8 years.
Idell drove 18 wheelers for many years and loved to go gambling with her friends.
She had a very special friend, George Hubbard of Milton, who spent a lot of time with her for many years. She also had many other friends in Milton, including the Groovy Lunch Bunch and in Missouri.
Idell is survived by her daughter-in-law Jean Smith and great grandchildren Mia and Landon of Milton, and by her very special extended family Bruce & Kim Giguere of Milton.
She is also survived by a son Daniel Ray Smith and his wife Linda of Illinois, a daughter Mary Ellen Wells of Leadwood, MO and by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces Frances Pipkins and her husband John of Farmington, MO and Mary Canter of Rockford, Ill and nephews and her dear friends (Ruby and Charlie) Vanessa Zerillo and Don Villemarie.
Idell was predeceased by her Dad and Mom, Roby and Delice Walker, a daughter Shirley Ann Canter of MO, her son Howard E. Smith of Milton and 3 sisters Della, Gerri and Gladys and a son-in-law Larry, all of Missouri.
Idell's family wishes to thank Bruce and Kim Giguere for the love and wonderful kindness and care that they gave her. And Dr. Melisa Gibson and the Green Mountain Nursing Home and staff for the wonderful care that they gave Idell.
A graveside service will be held on Friday September 2, 2016 at 11am in St. Ann's Cemetery in Milton.
