George Robert Morrison, 79, of Milton passed away May 30, 2022 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester George was born on November 7, 1942 in Toronto, ON, a Son of George Morrison and Leila (Smith). George moved to Vermont to become a member of the ski patrol at Jay Peak, then moved to Montgomery to build his first home and own and operate The Belfry. George was known as the doctors doctor and then went on to become the owner and manager of Professional Billing Services in the financial Industry. George was an avid sailor and truly loved being on the water, sailing to many locations including the Caribbean. George was a pillar of the Milton Community and helped start the Milton Recreation Program, found the Milton Ski Club, and founded the newspaper Milton Matters that is now the Milton Independent. For the past 12 years of his life George spent every winter in Rincon, Puerto Rico. He is survived by his children, Clark Morrison, Carlei Jodoin and husband Joe; and his grandchildren Cassidy Morrison, Cora Jodoin, and Keen Zeno. He is predeceased by his parents Leila Morrison (Smith) and George Morrison, his brother Jim Morrison and sister Jane Morrison. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 7th 2022, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton Vt. A funeral service will be held on at the end of visiting hours.
