Faith Lorraine Valyou

Faith Lorraine Valyou (Duby) of Essex Junction, 96, passed away peacefully January 8th, 2025 in her home with her loving family.

Faith was born October 20th, 1928 in Colchester, VT to parents Doris Ransom and Alvin Duby.

Faith married Wesley 'Bay' Valyou on July 23, 1951.

Faith loved the outdoors, her flower garden, clouds, bird watching, all animals, especially dogs and cats, and her beloved shih tzu Gracie and her cat " Buddy". She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, quilting, knitting, enjoying chocolate and wine. She also enjoyed her Ya Ya trips with her "daughters."

Wes and Faith enjoyed camping and visited Alaska and most of the lower 48 states. They also flew to England to visit her pen pal and visit Scottland.

 Faith is predeceased by her parents Doris (Ransom) and Alvin Duby and step-father Axel Ringwig, husband Wesley 'Bay' Valyou, brother John Duby, sister Betty Valyou (Duby), son Jon Valyou, Daughters-in-laws Lisa & Heather Valyou, son-in-law Gary Atherton, Grandson Logan LaBelle.

 Faith is survived by her sister, Monica McClellan (Duby), children Debra Atherton (Valyou), Tim Valyou, Mike Valyou, Jody Valyou, Todd Valyou, Corey Valyou, and David Valyou, her Ya Ya daughters Cindy Valyou (Arey) , Denise Valyou (Fernald), & Cindy Valyou (Beaudoin), Karen Cain, 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, one Great-great grandson.

 Visitation will be held on Friday January 17, 2025 5PM-7PM, with a service at 7PM, in the Minor Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 237 US-7, Milton, VT 05468.
