Ethel Elizabeth (Liz) (Lockhart)(Kirkpatrick) Anderson born in Lake George NY on December 11, 1936 to Donald and Margaret Lockhart, passed away on January 20, 2025

 A longtime member and past president of the auxiliary and district color guard of post 374 American Legion in Lake George, went to Lake George high school 1952, owner/administrator for Lakeview Home for Adults in Lake George, NY. Past secretary and activities director for the NY State Adult Home Association. In 1987 she moved to Vermont to be closer with all of her children.

Ethel’s favorite holiday was Christmas, She loved the music, lights and the extra special time with family and friends. She enjoyed painting, bingo, listening to bagpipes and in her younger years enjoyed ballroom and country dancing. She was actively involved with the Lake George VFW and the Eagles Club.

Ethel was predeceased by her father Donald Lockhart, mother Margaret Lockhart, brothers Wallace Lockhart and Donald Greyford Lockhart, and sister Joyce (Lockhart) Wood, half brother George Lockhart, her nephews Timothy Wood, Dale Lockhart and niece Barbara Lockhart. She was also predeceased by her first Husband Robert Kirkpatrick and second husband Lawrence B. Anderson.

She is survived by her children Bill Kirkpatrick and wife Linda, Bob Kirkpatrick and wife Jane, Jean (Kirkpatrick) Blake and her husband Ernie, Tom Kirkpatrick and his wife Sui, Jim Kirkpatrick and his spouse Steven, and Larry Anderson and his partner Brenda. Her half-sister Heather (Lockhart) Andrew and her husband Mark and Eddie Lockhart and his wife Jeanne. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Ethel’s life with her favorite Pastor, Pastor Jason Ziter will be held on Friday January 31, 2025, at 3:00pm at the Eagles Club in Milton, Vermont.
