Burlington, VT--Esther Mae Dudley, 88, of Fairfax, passed away peacefully, June 5, 2023, at University of Vermont Medical Center.
Esther was born on May 15, 1935, in Enosburg, VT, the daughter of Eugene Bergeron and Cora (Dudley).
She married Myron Dudley on August 31, 1957, in Fairfax.
Esther loved to sew and was a seamstress for most of her working life. She loved to cook, and every Sunday morning would prepare a big homemade breakfast. She liked arts & crafts and had a green thumb. She loved animals, especially her dog Ginger and her cat Mattlet. Esther was known for her independence and as an exceptional mother and wife, taking care of her family.
She is survived by, her husband of 66 years, Myron Dudley; her children, Carl Dudley and wife Trudy of Fletcher, Deborah Breault and husband Raymond of St. Albans, Marie Dudley of St. Albans, Keven Dudley, and wife Laura of Highgate; her grandchildren, Darryl, Lauren, Rachel, Rebecca, Raven, Jessica, Patricia and Ethan; her 9 great grandchildren; and sister, Catherine King of Sheldon.
She is predeceased by her parents, Eugene, and Cora Bergeron.
A burial service will take place on Saturday, June 24 at 11 AM in East Franklin Cemetery.
