Obituary of Emma Eva Raymond
Burlington, Emma Eva Raymond, 92 passed away peacefully at her home in Cathedral Square in Burlington in the presence of her loving family.
Emma was born April 6, 1924 in Grand Isle the daughter of the late William and Loretta Cross Blow. She graduated from Milton High School in 1942. Following WWII, Emma married Clisson John Raymond. They moved to Front Street in Burlington and together began raising a family.
She worked for many years in the Ledger Department of the Chittenden Bank and at the same time prepared income tax returns for many people.
Surviving are her sons, Bruce Raymond and wife Diane of Colchester, Larry Raymond and wife Tara of Grand Isle and Denis Raymond of Burlington. Her grandchildren and spouses, Jaime and Jay, Meagan and friend Mike, Andrew and Ellen, Stephen, Adam and Amanda, Brett and Sean. Her great grandchildren, Riley, Reese, Emma, Taryn, Avery and Sophia. A close nephew, David Blow and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, C. John Raymond in 2012, a sister, Blanche and her brothers, Beecher and Roland Blow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Co-Cathedral in Burlington. Burial will follow in the Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery in Colchester.
At Emma's request there will be no visiting hours.
