A proud graduate of Milton High School, Eleanor exemplified dedication and resilience throughout her life, characteristics she instilled in her family. She married the love of her life, Harold Cadreact, on June 23, 1951—a joyous union that did not just mark the beginning of their shared journey, but also the foundation of a vibrant family that would grow to encompass eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, each of whom delighted in her unconditional love.
Eleanor was deeply committed to her community and her faith, belonging to St. Anne's Catholic Church her entire life, where she found not only solace but also a sense of belonging. With every stitch she made in her weekly sewing club, each quilt lovingly crafted, and every home-cooked meal shared, Eleanor demonstrated her unwavering love for those around her. She found joy in gardening, watching basketball, and cheering for her children as they participated in various sports, always supporting them wholeheartedly.
Her interests extended beyond the physical, as she loved to immerse herself in books and enjoyed the challenge of puzzles. Each activity brought her joy and enriched her life, reflecting the fullness of a woman devoted to nurturing both her family and her passions.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Stephanie Tremblay and her husband Charles; Ed Cadreact and his wife Robin; Tom, Mark, Daniel and Matt Cadreact and his wife Kim; along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind precious memories to be treasured by her sister-in-laws Claire Truso, Kate Cadreact, and Barb Robar.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold, her parents Perley Robar and Marion Trayah, her siblings Esther, John, Paul, Raymond, and Beverly, as well as her grandson Daniel and grandson Jacob. Each of these losses left an indelible mark on Eleanor's heart, yet she carried their memories within her, nurturing their legacies through the love she shared with her family.
