With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we announce the celebration of the life of our beloved Douglas Jones, who passed away on November 18th, 2024, at the age of 76. Douglas, known for his infectious laughter and endless array of jokes, brought light to every room he entered. Born on March 19, 1948, to Herb and Margarete [Bickford] Jones, his spirit will live on through the laughter and joy he shared with all who knew him. Douglas was known to most all as a hardworking and dedicated farmer, he also had a passion for hunting treasures at garage sales and flea markets, where he would uncover hidden gems that brought a smile to his face. One of his favorite pastimes was gathering with friends to play spades, engaging in friendly competition and creating lasting bonds. An avid animal lover, Douglas held a special place in his heart for dogs and horses, finding solace and joy in their companionship throughout his life. During his career, Douglas dedicated 20 years to Bed, Bath & Beyond, where his infectious personality and hard work earned him the admiration of colleagues and customers alike. Later in life, he found fulfillment working in the Food Service Department at the University of Vermont, Sodexo Services, where his warm demeanor and kind spirit touched the lives of many.

Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Theresa [Perry] Jones, children; McKenna (Vern) Ryea of Swanton, Lindsay (Raul) Magana of Mareno Valley, CA, John (Kerry) Jones of Fairfax, and Vicki Tobin of Milton, brothers; David Jones and Roy Jones, grandchildren; Gabby Jones, Myleigh Jones, Tyler Gaudette, Andrew Gaudette, Nathan Gaudette, Jacob Magana and Cameron Magana as well as many other family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents; Herb and Margarete Jones, son-in-law Marty Tobin, and granddaughter Kaitlyn Marie Gaudette.
