It is with both heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Clarice (Carrie) Johnson, who left us peacefully, on January 23, 2025, at her home in Alburgh, Vermont. Carrie was born on May 25, 1930, in Dalton, New Hampshire, to Irving and Margaret (Kelley) Plummer, Carrie was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. Carrie married Charles Johnson, and together, they built a beautiful family filled with laughter, kindness, and love. She cherished every moment spent with her family, always eager to share her warmth and wisdom, and never missed an opportunity to tell anyone that would listen about her seven granddaughters.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Bombardier and her husband, Tim Bombardier of Alburgh, VT, her youngest son, Charles Halstead-Johnson and his wife, Adria Halstead-Johnson of Marshfield, VT, her sister Edna Vega of Florida, her seven granddaughters, Bethany Hanna, Katie Vetro, Kristin Johnson, Erica Klemchuk, Danielle Bombardier, Katelyn Andreescu, Guinevive Halstead-Johnson, along with four great grandsons and three great granddaughters.
Carrie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Johnson, her parents, Irving and Margaret Plummer, her brother, Irving (Joe) Plummer, her sister, Cathaleen Jennings, and her oldest son, Robert Johnson.
There will be a committal service for family members held at the Berlin Corners Cemetery in the spring of 2025 to be announced at a later date. There will also be a Celebration of Life for all of Carrie’s friends and family at her home in Alburgh, Vermont on May 25, 2025 which would have been her 95th birthday.
