Milton, VT--Christopher Coleman, 57, passed away August 16,2022 at his residence in Milton. Christopher was born on September 2, 1964, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the son of Cecil Coleman and Norma (Richards) Coleman. He graduated from South Harrison High School in 1983. He married Martha Mears on October 12, 1991, in Milton, Vermont. Christopher served 10 years active duty in the Army, followed by 22 years in the National Guard, 15 of which was spent as a turbine engine mechanic for Pratt and Whitney, for the past 8 years he was a mechanic at Keurig Dr. Pepper. Christopher enjoyed filling his free time showing his talents in various ways including, wood working, carving, tending his garden, and restoring antiques. This enjoyment was only exceeded by his love of his larger than life family. He is survived by: his spouse Martha; his children, RJ (Jill) Coleman of Van Wert, OH, Travis (Rebecca) Coleman of Dublin, OH, Caroline and Charlotte Coleman of Milton; his grandchildren, Josie Coleman, Gia Coleman, Mary-Kate Coleman, and Rosalie Coleman; his siblings, Steven (Jolie) Coleman, Cathy (Roddy) Marple, Amy (Otto) Kaiser, Mark (Lecia) Coleman, Stanley (Marilyn) Coleman, Pat (Shelley) Coleman; his father in law Paul Mears; his brother in law Steve (Debby) Mears, and brother in law Phil (Diane) Mears; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by: his mother, Norma Coleman; father, Cecil Coleman; mother-in-law, Doris Mears; brother, John Coleman; sister, Susie Garrett. Visiting hours will be held on August 20,2022, from 11am to 1pm at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton, VT. A funeral Service will be held following visiting hours at 1pm.
