Carol Anne Williams

Carol Anne Garnett Williams, 69, of Altona, NY, left this earthly life on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, to pass into the arms of the Lord. Carol was born on May 29, 1953, in Burlington, Vermont, the daughter of Arnold and Celia (Guerin) Garnett. Carol graduated from Milton Jr.-Sr. High School in 1971 and had a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Burlington College. She worked for several years for the State of Vermont as a social services coordinator, retiring in 2012. Carol was known for her caring heart, generosity to a fault, and her love of being involved in the community. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved spending her time spoiling them. Carols faith was very important to her, she participated in bible study every Sunday. She is survived by her loving children, Karen Zweeres(49) of Winooski, Travis Rock (44) and companion Daphne Henriod of CT, Krista Schattenkerk (40) and companion Christopher Billado of Winooski, and Chad Rock (37) and companion Deanna Seymour of NY; a son-in-law Tyler Holmes; grandchildren Lukas Zweeres, Shanequa-Lyn Rock, Lakysha Patnode, Taylor Sweet, Zakare Garnett, Joseph Rock, Charlie Rock, Shay-lynne Rock, Jaidene Mason, Jonas Schattenkerk, and Xander Schattenkerk. In addition, she is mourned by siblings, and their spouses, Sandra Garnett of NY Richard Garnett (Barbara)of WV, James Garnett (Lisa) of WI, and Tina Garnett Moat (Michael) of TX , along with their children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Arnold "Red" Garnett and Celia (Guerin) Garnett; her fiancé Edward Sheldon; and a daughter, Traci Holmes. A few days before her passing she commemorated her fiancé and love of her life Edward Sheldon, who was killed in Vietnam. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in the Minor Funeral Home, from 11 am - 1 pm, with a funeral service immediately following officiated by Pastor Jim Garnett, brother of Carol.
