Audrey Marie Noel

Burlington-Audrey Marie Noel, 86 of Grand Isle, passed away on July 28th, 2022 at UVM Medical Center surrounded by her family. Audrey was born on July 20th, 1936 in Burlington, VT, the Daughter of Chester Poquette and Mary Cameron. Audrey had a passion for helping people, which led her to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated from Mary Fletcher in 1957 and began her career as an RN. She worked for many years at The Champlain Islands Health Center in Grand Isle. After she retired from nursing, she enjoyed working at Claussen's Greenhouse. Audrey's favorite hobbies included gardening, walking, making candles, traveling and making/selling bracelets to raise money for childhood cancer research. She was a kind-hearted soul and had a big impact on everyone she met. Audrey cherished her family and loved spending time with them. To her family, she was known as grandma "Dee". She is survived by: her children; Scott (Martha) Noel of Colchester, Kimberly (Scott) Pidgeon of Essex Jct., Daniel (Kelly) Noel of Essex; daughter-in-law Jenny Kull of Essex Jct.; her grandchildren; Lily Noel, Molly Noel, Megan Pidgeon, Erin Noel and Avery Noel. Her siblings; Paul (Patricia) Poquette of St. Albans, Earl (Judy) Poquette of North Hero, Michael (Melody) Poquette of Alburgh, Neil (Terry) Poquette of Alburgh; and her beloved dog Krispy Kasper. She is predeceased by her husband; Bernard Noel. Parents; Chester and Mary. Children; Eric Noel and infant twins, James Arthur and Michelle Rene. Granddaughter; Sarah Pidgeon. Her family would like to thank her physician at UVMMC, Dr. Peter A. Kaminski. A funeral mass will take place on August 12th at 1pm at St. Anne's Shrine in Isle La Motte, following mass a consolation meal will take place, followed by a committal service at Hyde Cemetery in North Hero at 4pm. Please consider wearing purple, as it was Audrey's favorite color. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Make a Wish Vermont in Audrey's memory.
