Annette M. North, 68, born November 17, 1956, to Robert and Doris North (Sanderson) of Milton, made her final departure in the early hours of January 28, 2025, at the University of Vermont Medical Center, with family by her side.
Annette’s spirit was as vibrant as the life she led. Annette served her community as a dedicated pastor with Northwind’s Ministry, where she took great joy in officiating weddings, and speaking at funerals. She brought a profound sense of love and care to these significant moments in the lives of others. Providing comfort and solace during times of both joy and sorrow. In her earlier years, Annette worked for many years as a security officer through IBM and Deter security.
Those who knew Annette could attest to her being full of life and love. Her determination was remarkable; when she set her mind to something, there was little that could deter her from achieving it. Annette enriched the lives of many, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
Aside from her professional life, Annette had a variety of interests that made her life even more fulfilling. She loved hosting garage sales, an activity of which she approached with enthusiasm and charm. Fishing brought her peace, while shopping brought her joy, and spending time with her precious kitty (Mickey) made her feel complete.
Annette is survived by her loving wife, Cathy Mackinnon, alongside her siblings: Grace Williams (North) and her partner Moe (Milton), Jeannine Francis and her husband Richard (Hinesburg), Emil North and his wife Kim (Mooers Forks, NY). Annette was also an adoring aunt to many nieces and nephews who cherished their time with her.
Annette’s legacy will continue to resonate through the lives she touched and the love she shared. She joins her parents, Robert and Doris North, her brother, Robert North and first wife Judy North, in eternal rest. Annette North will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Special thank you to the nursing staff at UVM Medical Center dialysis in St. Albans, and the University of Vermont Medical Center for providing such compassionate care for Annette, and assisting her family during her last moments of life.
