Annemarie Showalter, 77, of Milton, passed away March 23, 2023 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester.
Annemarie was born on January 29, 1946 in Judenburg, Austria, the daughter of Katherine (Davidian) and Aloise Nerstheimer.
Anne emigrated from Austria in 1959, to Providence, Rhode Island. On Jan 10, 1970 she married the love of her life, Michael Showalter in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Providence, Rhode Island.
Anne was a proud member of the Milton Business Community for over 33 years, as the owner and operator of A-1 Printing. She was also proud to serve on the planning commission and library board for many years.
Besides her husband Michael of 53 years, she is survived by: her 2 daughters, Christine Soychak of Enosburg Falls, and Marianne McGrane and her husband Thomas of North Liberty, Iowa; 4 grandchildren Michael McGrane, Katie McGrane, Christian Soychak, Alex Soychak, and her brother Ernst Nerstheimer of Riverside, Rhode Island. She was also the former mother-in-law of Ed Soychak of Fairfax and sister-in-law Joyce Sabins of Riverside, Rhode Island.
Annemarie was predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Aloise Nerstheimer, brother Alphonse Nerstheimer and his late wife Leni, nephew, Ernie Nerstheimer, and her special and dear friend Vicki McDonald
Visiting hours will be on Sunday March 26, 1PM-3PM in the Minor Funeral Home and Cremation Center with a prayer service officiated by Father Feltz beginning at 3PM.
