Obituary of Alfred Dana Ellis

Alfred Dana "Joe" Ellis, 87 passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on Sunday morning, May 29, 2016 at the home that he lived in since 1948 in Georgia.
Alfred was born March 12, 1929 in Milton, the son of the late William and Gladys LaPoint Ellis. On March 27, 1948 he married Esther Bombard in St. Ann's Church in Milton. Joe had worked for General Electric, the Worthmore Grain Company in St. Albans for 19 years and had retired from the custodial department of the St. Albans City School following 20 years of service. He was also a past member of the Grange.
He is survived by his dear wife of over 68 years, Esther of Georgia and their children, Marie Fuller and her husband, Arlie of Georgia. William Ellis and his wife, Anne of Georgia. Dana Ellis and his wife, Lucy of St. Albans and Gale Burnor and her husband, Hubert of Bennington. Eleven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his sister, Ramona Wimble of Georgia. He was predeceased by his brother Bob and sisters, Idabelle and Nancy.
Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday, June 1st from 4 to 7 pm in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 2nd at 11 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Ann's cemetery.
